Jennifer Billard
Studio Teacher
Jennifer Billard is a musician originally from the East Coast of Newfoundland. She holds an undergraduate degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in piano performance and a Masters degree in vocal performance from the University of Calgary. During her performance career and education Jennifer has been an avid music educator with over 20 years of experience working with musicians of all ages. She taught at music studios and at the University of Calgary and she ran her own studio on the East Coast for over 10 years.
She has taught piano, voice, flute, saxophone, guitar as well as solo or group lessons in music theory and history. She also ran a preschool music program introducing children to the piano, learning how to sing together and share in musical activities as a group. She directed, staged, orchestrated etc. a children’s studio musical every year, along with organising and preparing students for piano recitals, Christmas concerts, university auditions and RCM/CCM exams. Jennifer has also been sought after as an accompanist and vocal coach.
Recently Jennifer has worked with Camber Arts in their past two summer seasons with such productions as Flair (2023), Tales from the Tides (2024), and Moments in the Woods: A Sondheim Cabaret (2024), as well as productions with Off-Broadway Players.
