Alison Clarke, from Burin, Newfoundland, holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a French minor and a Bachelor of Music Degree (Honours) with a major in Piano Performance from Memorial University. Recognized for her musical accomplishments, Alison was awarded the University Medal for Academic Excellence in Music Education (2021), the Heather Macdonald Music Education Intern Award (2020), and the Roger Skinner/Music NL Memorial Award in Music (2017), among other accolades. She is currently a music and French teacher at Corner Brook Intermediate.Â
Alison strives to be a well-rounded musician by being involved in the local music community. In the spring of 2023, she led the band for Graham Academy’s production of Godspell and was a musical director for Dance Studio West’s production of Footloose. Other musical directing credits include We Will Rock You (2022) and Tick, Tick…BOOM! (2021) with Off-Broadway Players. She also has extensive experience in piano accompaniment for musicians and dancers.
